Any flight from LAX to Purdue University Airport?

Anonymous (not verified)

Hi there
I am transiting in San Franscisco enroute to London - I have an hour and 21 mins transit time..I will be staying in LA on the way back. Do I have to go through customs and immigration in transit? Will I be able to do it in 1 hr 21 mins??If my luggage can be booked through to London will they take it off to go through customs even though I'm only transiting San Francisco?
Any advice would be much appreciated! Thank you!

Which airport are your talking about LAX or SFO ?????? Your statement are very murky and confusing !!!!!!

Janice Kim (not verified)

We are going to visit USA through LAX airport. so this airport will be the first stop where we have to enter USA.
Due to swine flue any extra checking LAX is doing for incoming
passengers? so is it to be further delay at LAX? Our connecting flight is to leave for Saltlake City in 3 hours. Please advise if 3 hours are to be ok to catch connecting flight. Thank you.

Question:

Thanks so much,
George

JEAN GAEDICKE

I will be arriving at lax from Melbourne Qantas then transferring to Tom Bradley for a flight to Vancouver with Canada Air, would you know if I can purchase duty free Alcohol etc at Tom Bradley after clearing customs.

Anonymous (not verified)

Jean,
Your Qantas flight from MEL will arrive at the Tom Bradley Terminal at LAX. All Air Canada flights are in Terminal 2. You will need to take the LAX inter-terminal shuttle bus over to Terminal 2. After you have passed through check in and security in Terminal 2, there is a Duty Free shop you can buy alcohol at and take onboard with you to Canada.

Dr O

Dr O

You may wait in the airport terminal as you wish. Different terminals in LAX have diffent area allocated for passenger as waiting areas.
If you are willing to spend some MONEY you can find a Airport Lounge to Spend your time in Comfort !!!!!!!!!!! Check out the Web site: PriorityPass.com for locations of the airport Clubs.

I have two questions : 1.- Do you have special lockers for the lugagge so I can leave it locked and come back and check it on the next plane 8 hours later ? I will gladly pay for it.
2.- Which is the cheapest way to go to Santa Monica ? Or La to a nice shopping area, the closest, the better...

I will be meeting my daughter and new grandson in Bradley Thomas when they clear Customs from AU to help her with the final leg to Texas. Any suggestions on where to meet so we do not miss each other. She will not have an USA cell phone. Thank you

dorinda

Hoping someone can advise if there is any Public Transport that can take us from Terminal B to the cruise terminal for a Royal Caribbean cruise. We arrive from Australia at 9.45am on Sunday 20th Sept. giving ourselves plenty of time as the cruise leaves at 5pm. The last time we did this trip, we were charged an enormous amount for a taxi, so if anyone out there could give an approximate amount for a taxi fare, that would be great too. Thanks heaps.....and greetings from "Down Under".

Dr O

Your Options:

LAX to San Pedro prices are $17 pp for a shared van or $73 for your own 7 passenger, $93pp for you own 9 passenger.

***Zippy's Shuttle. $55 one way for 4.

***PrimeTime Shuttle at $16 pp., each way.

***Take a taxi $45 flat rate up to 4 people. Straight shot to the pier with no stopping to make any pickups along the way.
The flat rate is posted on a board near the cab stand both at LAX and at the pier. The meter always rolls but it is still a flat rate.

Being frequent travellers, I have learned to always confirm rate details prior to hiring a taxi.

Final Detail:
I guess given the difference in experiences here, the best recommendation is "caveat emptor", buyer beware. Verify the details (flat rate -or- metered rate) prior to hiring the taxi. Either way, its going to be at least $40 by taxi or $17 per person by shared ride shuttle.

I will be transitting through LAX between the UK and NZ May/June this year. Outwards it's easy as it's a touchdown for fuel, but on the way back I've only managed to get seats on 2 different carriers, Virgin and Air New Zealand.

My (Virgin) flight will land in Terminal 2, and the Air New Zealand flight departs Terminal 2, so technically I would not actually need to exit onto US soil, however I am aware of customs requirements even in the transit lounge when staying on the same flight, and I am guessing I know the answer to the following question.

Given I am staying in the same terminal, will I still need to clear customs, collect bags, exit terminal 2, recheck bags, go through customs again and re-enter terminal 2? If so, would 2 hours and 45 minutes be enough (bearing in mind a fiasco at Chicago that resulted in us missing our connection some time back when travelling to Houston!)

I've read a few responses on here, but as they all involve a change of terminal I'm not sure if the same applies if you aren't leaving the airport and touching US soil.

Thanks :O)

2 different Planes, same Terminal, You will still need to collect Baggage from baggage area then check in with your transit flight. YES you will need to exit customs and then recheck in at counter.

Delta has just revised my upcoming travel details for HNL to SAN via LAX, (formerly with a 2-hour connection time at LAX)- now it's down to less than 35mins. Last year, the connection required a bus shuttle from the main terminal to the Am. Eagle gates, which were far from the terminal- near the AA maintenence hangar. Even if my 35-min. connection is not shortened by a late arrival from SLC (revised itinerary from DL), I doubt that both I AND by checked baggage can make such a connection. Are the Am. Eagle gates now operating from Terminal 4, as shown on AA's website? -Or is it just SHOWN this way, with the shuttle bus now one terminal building-and a bus ride- away? I'd never make it...

Dr O

You need to call Delta airline and have your flight changed to allow more connecting time. Be very firm in your request, or you will be stuck in the connecting airport looking to find another flight the last minute.

You need to be proactive and fend off disaster that is coming at you!!!!!!!!!

Hi,
I will be be flying from London to Auckland via LA
I will be arriving on BA into terminal 4 and then have to get to the Tom Bradley Terminal to catch my qantas flight to NZ.

The transit time is a little over 2 hours, is this going to be enough time to clear customs and get to the next flight?

I am a Non-US citizen.

Thanks

C

Dr O

It will be VERY VERY Tight!!!!
I wish you Good Luck, I hope your flight arrives on time, you encounter a short "Pass Port Control" line(20-60 minutes for Non-US citizens) claim your luggage quickly(5-40 minutes), go through Custom Agent(I hope they will not want to open and inspect your luggage).
Then you will need to take your luggage to Tom Bradley Terminal(10-20 minutes), get in line to Qanta Counter. Last but not the least: the TSA security line (10-45 minutes: you just don't know how long the line will be)

when i was flying out of california from your airport i saw a security guard look in my laptop bag & he took off with it & it must have been a good 5 min. wait til he came back. then when i finally got 2 where i was going i looked in that same bag & saw that my prescription medicine was gone. thats just wrong for him to do that to anyone with a doctors prescribed medicine. why would they do that? what if i had to have that to survive? they would have been in a load of trouble.
